Whether you are new to tennis or have played at club level before, Wychwoods Tennis Club offers a friendly environment to learn how to play, improve your skills, make new friends and play lots of tennis – socially or in league matches – whatever your age. The club has more than 300 members and one of the largest junior memberships in Oxfordshire. Our three artificial grass courts were newly resurfaced in 2015 and play with great pace and bounce. An adult and junior coaching programme, organised by our Club Coach, runs all year with adult club mornings (Wednesday and Sunday) and summer club evenings (Tuesday and Thursday). For players interested in competitive play, we field two mens, ladies and mixed teams play in summer and winter leagues. New members welcome! If you are interested in finding out more please contact our membership secretary.
Our junior programme starts indoors at the New Beaconsfield Hall with Mini Tennis for the under 7s. Players then move outside where there are group sessions for each age group after school and on Saturday mornings during term time. Holiday clubs and tournaments run during half-term and in the Easter and Summer holidays. This programme has led to the development of some outstanding young players who have made an impact on the county tennis scene. We also actively participate with local schools.
